Morning Road Closures on Saturday, October 18, for Wolf Creek Runs Wild 5K & 10K Run

I want to let you know that there will be temporary road closures in your area on the morning of Saturday, October 18, 2025 and how you can still get to where you need to go.

Highway 61 and Park Drive

From approximately 8:00-11:00 am, the eastbound lane of highway 61 and Park Drive going towards Narrows will be closed from the bridge by the Kathleen Memorial Church to the Narrows Community Center on Park Drive. If you need to travel towards Narrows, please use Old Wolf Creek Road to travel east. 

Old Wolf Creek Road and Monroe Street

From approximately 8:00-10:30 am, the westbound lane of Monroe Street and Old Wolf Creek Road going towards Bland will be closed from Ragsdale Field up to the Jarrett Lane Memorial Bridge. If you need to travel west towards Bland, please use Highway 61. 

Why are the roads being temporarily closed?

These roads are being closed for a 5K and 10K walk/run event. This event promotes healthy lifestyles, community awareness in Giles, and raises money to support Mill Creek Nature Park. We are expecting 250-300 attendees, many of whom are coming from outside of Narrows to enjoy our beautiful area, which is exciting!
