Morning Lane Closures on Saturday, October 24, for Wolf Creek Runs Wild 5K & 10K Run

There will be temporary lane closures in Narrows on the morning of Saturday, October 24, 2025. This is NOT a full road closure, but only one lane in each direction. Residents and emergency vehicles can still travel through, but may need to use detours.

Highway 61 and Park Drive

From approximately 8:30-11:30 am, the eastbound lane of highway 61 and Park Drive going towards Narrows will be closed from the bridge by the Kathleen Memorial Church to the Narrows Community Center on Park Drive. If you need to travel towards Narrows, you may have to need to use Highway 61 and turn on the Jarrett Lane Memorial Bridge to get on Old Wolf Creek Road to reach town.

Old Wolf Creek Road and Monroe Street

From approximately 8:30-11:00 am, the westbound lane of Monroe Street and Old Wolf Creek Road going towards Bland will be closed from Ragsdale Field up to the Jarrett Lane Memorial Bridge. If you need to travel west towards Bland, you may have to use Old Wolf Creek Road to get on Highway 61 at Ragsdale Field to travel west towards Bland.

Why are the roads being temporarily closed?

These roads are being closed for a 5K and 10K walk/run event. This event promotes healthy lifestyles, community awareness in Giles, and raises money to support Mill Creek Nature Park. We expect 300 attendees, many of whom are coming from outside Narrows to enjoy our beautiful area, which is exciting!
